Responsibilities:

  • Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
  • At least 2 years experience in journalism and writing current affairs content
  • Passion for writing current affairs content
  • Impeccable communication and interviewing skills, both written and verbal
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Ability to go the extra mile
  • Self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn and adapt
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).‍

Requirements:

  • Monitoring trending current affairs stories
  • Sourcing ideas for exclusive current affairs stories
  • Sourcing comments from experts/ celebs.
  • Writing and publishing current affairs stories that resonate with our audience (including news articles, interviews, and feature articles about current affairs) 
  • Participating in all activities related to current affairs content direction 
  • Ability to churn out articles in perfect English.‍
